You the fans deserve an update. Well I am happy to report that roughly 25%-33% of the show has been filmed. When you’re talking about a multi-episode series, that is a lot of film. I can tell you our director John Johnson has been doing an amazing job crafting the story and the locations have been splendid.

In other news we are in the midst of creating our 7th Guest the Series storefront. Soon you will be able to purchase some fantastic items inspired by the show, as well as some unique items that will show up in the series. If there is a product that you think would be good to include in the store make sure to send us a note in the contact us section.

Well it’s off to make some more magic. One thing about creating a show based on a classic horror game, we have a lot of late nights filming, but I promise you its going to be amazing.

You Know What Rolls? Film, Wheels and Thunder

What a time! So have you ever had one of those weekends where you're with your friends partying at a hotel and you go all night for like 3 days straight? And when you finally get home you fall on the couch with a smile on your face then about 12 hours later you wake up thinking, “whoa that was cool”. Well the past few days have kind of been like that. The 7th Guest the series has been shooting nearly all night for the past few days. Our location scout founds us an awesome old building that was super creepy and perfect for shooting The 7th Guest.

Two quick stories from the front lines. One night of shooting we were scheduled for about six hours outside. Well in the middle of the shoot a massive storm started rolling in and we could not reschedule because one of our stars was leaving the next day. So of course we press on. As the storm rolls, it could have ruined our shoot but an amazing thing happened, the dark sky that was supposed to be our backdrop turned into a dancing lighting storm. You could not of asked for a better background. I will post up some video of the shoot later but what we thought was going to destroy our night of shooting became something you can't achieve with special effects. So when you see the series pay attention to the scenes with a wicked looking storm, its not special effects that’s the real thing and its beautiful.

So when the storm did get there, we had to shut down filming for about 90 minutes while it passed by. When we returned it was about 1 am and we are the only one on the street in this town. Well one of our characters was dressed like a cop. We are filming and then a car comes down the street and turns on its lights and its the local sheriff. He gets out and I go talk to him and he looks at me and says “we have gotten a report that someone around here was impersonating a law enforcement official”. Now we had cleared the shoot with local authorities because you don’t shoot this big of a production on a city street without filling out all the proper paperwork. Before I could explain what was going on the officer smiles and says “nah man I'm just kidding, were just here making sure you guys are OK”. So, sigh of relief. The local officials were way cool and we took them around on set and introduced them to various members of the team. Turns out our location scout was a neighbor of hers so everything worked out.

Stay tuned because I shot a bunch of background footage and will post up some selected film in the coming days and weeks.

Christmas Eve, sort of

I can remember every Christmas Eve of my childhood, not another day on the calendar came close to it, it was pure magic mixed with anticipation. Christmas Day it self is great but on Christmas eve is that special time where every present is like Schrodinger Cat, it could be the gift I most want or it could be socks. Most of the time it was socks but just often enough it was some awesome toy, just enough to keep you coming back. An entire day of shear anticipation, every moment directly leading up to the big morning. Tonight I feel much the same. You see its been a little over a year since I joined on with John Johnson, Trilobite and Darkstone Entertainment, all working together to bring one of the most famous and influential video games to life in the “7th Guest The Series”. Tonight on July 26th 2016 is the eve of the start of Production of the 7th guest the series. How many time do you get to be part of something so unique? Not often, so when the opportunity presents itself you grab hold and tear into that project as if you are tearing into that Christmas present. Which is exactly what we have been doing for the past year. Its been hard but you will be absolutely amazed with the results. I promise you that.

Some of you have been following along since the beginning of this journey, others may be joining us for the first time, and still more may be reading this after the fact. Either way I hope to provide you with a unique glimpse of the production process behind this next chapter in the story of Stauf and the new puzzles coming.

So what will be in-store well we have a great cast, locations that are eerie and picturesque and the most amazing part is the story. With the blessing of Rob Landros (the original creator of the 7th guest) our Director John Johnson has crafted a suspenseful, sexy, intriguing and scary puzzle of a story to continue the legacy of the 7th Guest.

I must now try to sleep, though much like Christmas Eve, I'm sure it will be elusive.
